Our President & CEO
Tim Culliton, President & Chief Executive Officer, Culliton
After completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Queen’s University in 1991, Tim joined Culliton as its Sales and Marketing Coordinator. In this capacity, Tim undertook to learn as much as he could about the business and its customers with the intention of assessing the profitability and viability of not only what Culliton was delivering through its new construction, installation and maintenance divisions, but also, the profitability and viability of how Culliton was delivering its work. During the ensuing 7 years, Tim led initiatives that not only solidified the overall business focus of Culliton, but also, increased sales volumes, reduced overhead, streamlined and standardized accounting and operational policies and procedures while at the same time increasing profitability.
In 1998 Tim took the helm of Culliton. After leading a series of business assessments in the subsequent 5 years that facilitated the transition of the ownership of the company from senior shareholders, Tim assumed sole ownership of Culliton in 2003 as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Of course many factors have contributed to the dramatic growth Culliton has experienced under Tim’s leadership. However, if we were pressed to identify a single factor that stands above all others, it would have to be the existence of a leadership and culture that is gripped by a pride to deliver real value to their customers. This is a pride that has defined Culliton and the work it has delivered since 1932. It is a pride that was passed down to Tim from his father Keith A. Culliton and his uncle George F. Culliton who together led the company prior to Tim. It is a pride that never rests on its laurels, but always seeks to prove itself through what it actually delivers. It is about winning your trust since 1932.
Tim’s commitment to the Stratford and London communities has been as unwavering as his commitment to his business. As a community volunteer, Tim has held several lead positions including Chairman of the Stratford Chamber of Commerce (1994-1996) and Chairman of the United Way of Perth County Annual Fundraising Campaign (2004-2005). Currently Tim is the Ambassador Council Chair for the Children’s Foundation for the Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences (2010 – present). In this capacity as Ambassador Council Chair, Tim was instrumental in raising, between 2009 and 2011, $2,300,000 for Crosby’s Challenge, a fundraising initiative for the Foundation. Wishing to give back to his own industry, Tim is currently the Treasurer of the Mechanical Contractors Association of London.
